My work takes place on the unceded, stolen, and occupied lands of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), and kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem) peoples.
I was raised by settlers in the territory of the sovereign Haíłzaqv (Heiltsuk) nation.
I give my gratitude to the peoples on whose land I’m able to live and work. I give my thanks to the queer ancestors who came before me that allow me to live as I do now.
My name is River Kero. I’m an artist and writer living on the west coast of so-called “Canada”.
Please browse my digital zine shop, many of them are available for free.
